Service Description

Natura Kids seeks to nurture a child's sense of wonder through engaging activities encompassing science art and movement. These activities are created to ignite children's curiosity of the natural world that surrounds them. Learn about pollination through activities which include: *Butterfly Release – Releases at 11 a.m. and 1 pm. *Butterfly and moth facts *Butterfly life cycle yoga *Butterfly mask *Flower anatomy and dissection *Flower pounding – make a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork *Pollen transfer experiment *Plant a container of pollinator plants *Bee facts *See a honeycomb *Construct a bee hotel *Honey tasting *Take Home Pollinator Scavenger Hunt Details: Day - June 8. Time - Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Allow at least 1 hour to complete all stations. Butterfly releases are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Ages: Best suited for children ages 5-12. Children younger than 5 are welcome but may require more adult assistance from their guardian at stations. Children with developmental and intellectual disabilities are encouraged to register. Guardians – please note you may need to assist your child more throughout the activities in accordance to their level of ability. Please leave us a note on the registration form about what we can do to make your child better situated. Each registered child must be accompanied by an adult who remains at Natura Gardens the entire time. Adults do not have to guide participants through the stations unless children require extra assistance. Accompanying adults and children under 3 are not required to register or pay and are encouraged to accompany children. The event is set up in stations. Staff members will be available to assist participants at each station, however, it will be assumed children going through stations independently are able to follow directions and do tasks in a group without a lot of additional support. Things to consider: +A waiver signed by a legal guardian of the participant is required to participate.(Waiver is located under the Events tab on our website as well as a link on the registration form.) It can be emailed to us or brought on the day of the event. +Closed-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for outdoor weather conditions are recommended. +Handwashing will be done via a hose. +Friendly dogs are on the premises. They are well behaved but sometimes lick or jump up to be petted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation must be done 48 hours before the start of the event for a full refund, cancellations after this time will not be entitled to a refund. Natura Gardens reserves the right to cancel classes and events due to low registration or inclement weather, registration fees will be fully refunded.
